Aden Out for Season with torn ACL - Cougars still defeat Trojans
The Washington State Cougars announced Tuesday that senior Faisal Aden suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last Thursday at Arizona.
The Arizona game was Aden’s first since he was named national player of the week after scoring 57 points in two games the previous week, including a career-high 33 in an upset of Stanford.
The Cougars (11-10, 3-6 Pac-12), tied for ninth with Arizona State, faced last-place USC (6-16, 1-8) tonight.
They won 60-53.
Brock Motum had 26 points and eight rebounds.
Southern Cal was outrebounded 31-18 and reached the free throw line only three times, while Washington State was 14 for 19 from the line. Reggie Moore and Abe Lodwick scored nine points apiece for the Cougars.
