Austin Apodaca, a high-school QB from Colorado, committed early to the Washington St. Cougars.
After coach Paul Wulff was fired, Apodaca had to wait it out, to be sure Mike Leach wanted him.
They did.
He had a very stress free senior year.
He commited early, and then shot down all the other recruiters, leading to a stress free senior year.
He threw for 44 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He worked a lot on his arm strength in 2011 and most are saying he's got an above average arm.
Will the Cougars QB depth chart be a little crazy to follow thru the Spring? Probably, but that's just the way Mike Leach would want it, isn't it?
We ran a piece on Apodaca earlier this year here.
