Peter Berg plans to make documentary about Mike Leach For HBO

Looking for some fun Washington State Cougars offseason football news?

We're hearing that apparently Peter Berg has plans to make a documentary series about Leach that will air on HBO.

Ben Grossman of Broadcasting & Cable reports that HBO is interested in developing a new documentary series centered around Leach and his return to the gridiron.

The team leading the project consists of Pete Berg, Jim Lampley, Sarah Aubrey and Michael Price.

These 3 were also the fine folks that brought us HBO's new documentary On Freddie Roach.

Any publicity is good publicity for the Cougars football program isn't it? I mean come on. They've only won 9 games in four years.

Berg's project, according to Grossman, plans to "cover training camp and through the first or second game of the season."

This would be a great project if they can get some up-close or private sessions with Leach. The guy is a great personality and a great coach. He can only make the Cougs better
