Whitecaps FC striker Salgado fractures foot
Whitecaps FC confirmed striker Omar Salgado has suffered a fracture in his right foot, while on international duty with the United States U-20 team in Uruguay.
The El Paso Texas forward appeared as a first-half sub in the friendly in Montevideo before coming out of the match with the injury in the 82nd minute.

“We are disappointed to hear about Omar’s injury,” said Whitecaps FC head coach Martin Rennie. “While it is a setback for him, we are confident that he will have a full recovery.”
In the 2012 MLS season Salgado has started 5 of 6 MLS appearances he has totalled one assist.
