The Vancouver Whitecaps FC departed for Philadelphia today as they get set to face the Union on Saturday afternoon at PPL Park.

Noticeably absent from the team was Eric Hassli, who did not travel with the team this afternoon and is not expected to join the squad prior to the match.

The 30-year old French forward has failed to score through 3 matches in 2012 and is recovering from an ankle injury picked up in the match against DC United. Hassli has not scored a goal for the Whitecaps in his last 13 matches.

The last time he scored was August 7th, 2011 against Chicago.
