Hodgson will probably end up having better numbers, but atleast Kassian will get a cup or two in Vancouver

This is way too hard. There's so many variables. I don't even know where to start comparing.

I realized today that if you went back in time, say even to October, and told a Canucks fan Cody Hodgson would be gone before Cory Schneider his head would probably pop off.

I really need to see Kassian on the Canucks for a while before I make this call.

Hodgson is going to have a nice career, if he can improve his skating. He can be a Chris Drury type.
Kassian, if he hits his potiental, could help out the Canucks a lot more. Sedin-Sedin-Kassian could be deadly (down the road being the big caveat here) which frees Burrows up for a very nice Booth-Kesler-Burrows second line. And of course, Kassian can destroy a man or two.

Should be a fun 20 years.

I think head to head Hodgson will have the better career, but given his native position as a center, and Vancouver's wealthy of talent at that position, the move still makes sense for the team. Kassian has the potential to elevate to Todd Bertuzzi-like success, but it is a long and treacherous road towards NHL power forward stardom.

I just realized I'm really excited to see our friend Riley's take on this trade.
