Canucks get Andrew Gordon from Ducks for Sebastian Erixon
The Vancouver Canucks have acquired forward Andrew Gordon from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenceman Sebastien Erixon.
The 26-year-old Gordon has two goals and three assists with six penalty minutes through 37 games this season.
In 19 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League this season, he has three goals, five assists and 10 penalty minutes.
The Halifax, NS, native was originally selected 197th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Capitals.
Interesting move, probably more for the Wolves. I can't imagine Gordon seeing Canucks time unless things go horribly wrong.
With such a talented team it's hard to imagine many depth guys fitting into the lineup anytime soon, but Gordon has proven to have some talent posting near point-per-game numbers in the AHL with the Hershey Bears. Looking forward to see what he can do with the Wolves, and/or any showcase with the Canucks next season.
