Mike Duco will get in the Canucks lineup tonight
Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager, Mike Gillis announced Sunday the recall of left wing Mike Duco from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Most of us remember Mike Duco battling the Ducks' Ryan Getzlaf in a preseason game.
Well folks he's also scoring goals for the Wolves down in the AHL. He's fresh off his second career minor league hat trick
He'll play tonight on the 4th line with Malhotra and Weise. Not an ideal place for him. But this is his second chance and we'll see how he does.
He's up because Andrew Ebbett suffered a broken collarbone on a Dennis Seidenberg hit.
Duco was quoted this week
Quote:
"I feel like in the preseason I might have been trying to do a little bit too much and maybe it had a negative impact on how people looked at me,"
He's a free agent at the end of the year though he is restricted and with other players OUT thru injury or poor play (Aaron Volpatti, Steven Pinizzotto, Victor Oreskovich) he's got his chance to make another impression tonight versus his old team.
Duco, 24, has played 33 games with the Wolves this season and recorded 13 points (8-5-13) including a hat trick on January 6th versus Peoria.
