Vancouver Canucks defenseman Sami Salo has been ruled out of Monday's road game against the Florida Panthers.

Salo suffered a concussion during Saturday's Stanley Cup rematch with the Boston Bruins after taking a low-bridge hit from Brad Marchand, who was assessed a clipping major and game misconduct in the second period.

The 37-year-old Finn was unable to continue in the game and Marchand will have a hearing with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan on Monday as a result of the hit.

Salo has collected six goals, 10 assists and eight penalty minutes this season.
