David Booth almost ready to return

Lost in the Canucks recent strong play is the fact a major weapon in David Booth is still out.

Booth anxious to return

"It's really frustrating and I wish it didn't happen," said Booth. "I thought I was playing better and now it's a process of getting back there. This was my third day on the ice and I've only been skating for about 15 minutes. I can't do the reaction stuff, stops and starts and changing direction. ... I've been off three weeks, or whatever it was, and it feels like three months."

His hoped return in Florida (Jan 9) is possible

Booth and Rome skating, but not game-ready

"It's already four weeks and I'm already skating and they thought it would be four weeks before I did any activity," said Booth.
"I really want to play in that game, but who knows, we'll see."

the pieces to the puzzle are startin to take shape. Hope we have all our guys on board for the stretch run, though I fear as per usual we'll lose one of our top 4 dmen sometime soon.

Yeah, the defence needs something at the deadline.
