The team announced today that Byron Bitz has been put on waivers by Canucks.
Vigneault confirmed Tuesday that Bitz has been put on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the minors.
Bitz, who’s missed most of the last 2 NHL seasons due to hip/abdominal injuries, has been in Chicago practising with the Wolves for 3 three weeks.
Bitz was signed as a free agent by the Canucks last summer to a two-way contract that pays him $700K at the NHL level and $105,000 in the minors.
