Should cut down on travel for the Canucks.

You have to think for the next 5 years or whatnot SJ, Van, and LA will be locks for the playoffs with the others battling it out for the last spot.

I like this throwback to the 80s. They should take the old names too. I am concerned with how two divisions have eight teams and two have seven. That doesn't seem fair to me. Is this for expansion?

Well there's a good chance Phoenix relocates to Quebec and joins the Northeast(?).
They're talking about cross-overs too.
Really, if you need math to make the playoffs, you're probably not going far.
