Chris Higgins out with possible Staph Infection

figures the go who goes into the trenches gets trench foot.

Oreskovich has been called up. Hansen is playing on the second line at practice today.

According to AV, Higgins missed 6-7 games (not sure why AV doesn't have an exact #) last year in Florida with similar issues and they're using that as a timetable.

This of course coincides with the schedule picking up to every other day for the next while..

Tough break for him. But this is one of the advantages of a big market team that prints money. Good players stashed away on IR and on the farm. Raymond and Oreskovich should pick up the slack no problem. In fact, if its going to be 6 or 7, I'd make sure to put him on the 10 game LTIR and save the salary space for later.

Any update on Higgins? I really like this guy and we need him back with Booth out.
