Canucks Mason Raymond set to return this week

As we reported earlier this week - Mason Raymond is ready to go.

Raymond practiced Monday, taking a regular turn with Ryan Kesler and David Booth, and will join the team for a three-game road trip that gets underway Wednesday at Colorado.

The 26-year-old Raymond had 15 goals and 24 assists in 70 games last season and recorded a career-high 25 goals in 2009-10.

hope CBC decides to air this game for the national audience

i'm hoping raymond can give the team a spark and afford the luxury of some extra looks

    lines at practice today were

    Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
    Raymond-Kesler-Booth
    Hansen-Hodgson-Higgins
    Lapierre-Malholtra-Weise

    that is sexxxy

question is, what if you could flip raymond for a top 4 defenceman?

It'll be interesting to see how Bambi plays when he gets back. He didn't have the greatest year last year, but the kid's got speed. Still kills me how his season ended and how the Boston fans treated him. How does Boston deflect all criticism?

I can't see Raymond being much more than forward depth at this point. Unless he breaks out again, I doubt the Canucks qualify him at that salary for next year. But maybe he'd return for a smaller deal more appropriate for his probable role.
