Some Clarity

Since this soap opera began on July 1st Shane Doan has made it perfectly clear that his intentions are to stay in Phoenix, a move in which he backed up today by signing a four year- $21.2 million dollar contract.

Even with the future of the Coyotes ownership being anything but stable, Doan has made up his mind and will retire with the franchise with which he was drafted.

After a few self imposed deadlines, a verbal agreement with the Coyotes was in place weeks ago, but only came to a head today before the 2PM deadline to register his contract.
