    Vancouver Canucks Re-sign Eddie Lack

This morning news broke that the Canucks have re-signed RFA goalie Eddie Lack to a two-year deal, reportedly worth $650,000 in the NHL/$85,000 in the AHL for the first year and $850,000 in the second year.

It looks to be a two-way deal in year one and a one-way deal in year two.

Lack originally signed by the Canucks in April of 2010, is likely to be the back up for the Vancouver Canucks if and when the season starts.

Nothing not to "Lack" about this deal

Lack, who has yet to appear in an NHL regular season game, completed his second professional season in the Canucks organization. Lack has a 49 - 41 - 7 record in 99 games played with the Manitoba Moose and the Chicago Wolves.

I like this signing for the Canucks. It solidifies the goaltending position for and adds depth. The Canucks could still acquire a veteran back up goalie in case the 24 year old struggles in his first season with the Canucks.
