We've learned today from a tweet by Canucks.com that they have agreed to terms with 21yr old centre Alex Friesen.

Friesen had 71 points (26-45-71) and 106 PIMs last season with the OHL's Niagara IceDogs.

Vancouver originally drafted Friesen in the sixth round, 172nd overall of the 2010 NHL Draft.

Per the Ice dogs website he's in his 4th year with the team since being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2007 OHL Draft, Alex has served as alternate captain for the last two seasons.
