Cory Schneider to start game 3 vs. LA

It's official. A short time ago first reported by Ben Kuzma via twitter the Vancouver Canucks will start backup netminder Cory Schneider in net tonight for game 3 versus the LA Kings.

It's official. Cory Schneider gets the start for #Canucks in Game 3 against #Kings.
Cory Schneider will play the biggest game of the season for the Vancouver Canucks.
Alain Vigneault wants to swing a lot of things the Canucks' way — including a fixing a floundering 0-for-10 series power play — and one way was to opt for Schneider ahead of Roberto Luongo.

"It's not a reflection of the goaltending," said Vigneault. "We feel it's time to change the momentum."

Gutsy move. If Schneider wins, does he start Game 4 too?

If AV goes back to Luongo for Game 4/5 and the Canucks lose, was that Schneider's last game as a Canuck?

Nope, Game 2 was Luongo's last game. I bet Luongo will be moved in the off-season. Cory should start game 4, I just feel we have a better chance in winning with him in net.

I know Scott Howsen is still employed but I can't see Gillis being able to move the Luongo contract. The Canucks better start Luongo in Game Four and hold on tight.

I don't think it would be that hard to move Luongo but the Schneider return would be better

fyi i am not a GM and am purely speculating

Schneider is younger, better, more mentally stronger. Stick with him for the future.
