Kevin Bieksa prooving to be worth his weight in gold

My Third Star of the week Kevin Bieksa

Bieksa had a solid week with two assists against Colorado and generally good play against the Kings.

He got cut and bloodied up a bit, but he's a tough customer.

Bieksa has been solid all season, but there hasn't been a lot of really brilliant flashes. It might be nice for the Canucks to see a couple big plays from him to help swing games unexpectedly (ie the winning goal in game five against San Jose).

We are need a few flashes of brilliance from the defence this postseason, especially if Daniel is out for a while.

The Canucks will need Juice to be one of their best players in the playoffs if they want to go far. Nice to see Bieksa working towards playoff form with a few games remaining in the regular season.

Yepp. Life without Hamhuis gets far too exciting when Bieksa is running around without cover on the blue line.
