My Take: Chris Higins
FINALLY! The Canucks have an undefeated week. And boy, did it make me smile. I'm all smiles these days. Sort of. We could be first in the west.
So there's some room for improvement. But still, a good week!
First Star - Chris Higgins
Higgins has flown under the radar for much of the year, but there was nothing under the radar about this week. Three goals, nine shots of goal, a solid +3 and the ability to give the Canucks the best second line in the NHL.
Kesler and Booth are both safe bets to perform, but Higgins is supposed "weak link."If he plays as well as he did this week (did we mention he had two game winners, one of which was a short-handed goal?)
The Canucks will have far and away the best top 6 in the NHL.

Higgins was huge this week, and should see some pretty positive matchups heading into the playoffs. After both the Sedins and Kesler's second line are taken up by opposing checking lines Higgins has a great opportunity on the third.

If Kassian get ever get going...

THIS! With Higgins playing so well, Kassian has a huge opportunity to take advantage of fourth line opposition during the playoffs. He HAS to take advantage of those match-ups.
