Hoping to get Daniel Sedin back for the Playoffs

The Vancouver Canucks are hopeful left wing Daniel Sedin will be ready for the 1st round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

They're not scoring goals like they have with him, but the Vancouver Canucks are winning games. Going 4-0 since the Sedin hit by Duncan Keith versus the Blackhawks last week.

Sedin, 31, has collected a team-high 30 goals with 37 assists for the Canucks, who lost to Boston in the Stanley Cup finals last season.

“It's risky to make projections with these things because one day the player just may not feel right, but he's going in the right direction,” Gillis told The Vancouver Sun.

“We're hopeful if things keep going the way they are that he'll be available (for the playoffs).”

Given Sedin has no previous history with concussions I'm optimistic he can come back soon, but soon is a funny word when dealing with concussions. Fingers crossed, I guess.

I'm sure he's alright and they're just using this as an excuse to rest him, I bet he comes back for the last two games of the season to tune up for the playoffs.

I'll be comfortable with "fine" after I see him survive a few games. Crosby was "fine" after his first return attempt too, right?

Yeah but Crosby was also misdiagnosed or something. I don't think he had a normal route.

Everything will be just fine. Nothing can possiblie go wrong.

I have a thing about tempting fate/the hockey gods. I'll jump for joy after he finishes a full game
