First reported by Pro Hockey talk on the NBC Network. Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin will NOT play tonight versus the Dallas Stars in western conference action.
Sedin was injured during Wednesday's matchup versus the Chicago Blackhawks after he was elbowed in the head by Duncan Keith in the first period.
Keith, who received a minor penalty for the hit, is expected to have a disciplinary hearing over the phone, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Sedin is flying home to Vancouver to visit with specialists for further evaluation.
The Canucks will surely miss his production tonight versus the Stars in a big matchup with playoff implications.
Daniel has has collected 30 goals, 37 assists and 40 penalty minutes this season.
