GM Mike Gillis and the Canucks have been sounding off over the last few days in regards to NHL officiating, rule changes related to scoring, and goaltender interference. Check out Ben Kuzma's Twitter feed here for a great summation of the quotes coming out of Vancouver. Does the team have a point or is this just political posturing in anticipation of another lengthy playoff push?
There's a bit of posturing but its rooted in facts. hard to disagree with any of those quotes.
Yeah, I don't disagree with any of the quotes or with the sentiment, however it does come across as politics in anticipation of another rough Stanley Cup Playoffs. At least the NHL is aware that teams are aware of the two-tier rulebook that slims down this time of year.
The teams just needs to suck it up and play.
Gugster and Alain Vigneault must be on the same page. Recent line juggling says to me that Vancouver's bench boss is tired of the way his team has been playing lately. Just win, baby.
If they're really "flipping the switch", it should come soon yeah. Especially considering Phx could be a first round matchup, I hope they go all out tonight.
