Nice win last night by the Washington Huskies over the USC Trojans. Most fans had to watch the game online as there was no LOCAL TV coverage. Still it was a nice game, and this one was over by the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half.

The Huskies (21-8, 14-3 Pac-12) nixed any chance of a Southern California upset by outrebounding the Trojans 30-10 in the first half and leading by 18 early in the second.

Washington scored 38 points in the paint and outrebounded Southern California 47-20.

UW's 80-56 rout of the Trojans was a nice stamp on a "for the most part" successful season. Remember UW started 5-5 and fell to 8-6 in early January. The panic button was being hit.

Coach Romar had this to say.

"Our guys did what we needed to do," he said. "We came out with focus and tried to advance, so to speak. I'm happy that we were able to get that done.
The Huskies’ Tony Wroten, who entered the game averaging 16.7 points, finished with seven points on 2-of-13 shooting. Gant finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Gaddy had 12 points and five assists for the Huskies, who dominated the rebounding stats 49-23.

Byron Wesley led USC (6-24, 1-16) with 23 points.

Bring on UCLA.
