Pac 12 Preview - Arizona to take on Washington
College Basketball Betting – Huskies Welcome Wildcats To Seattle On Saturday
Fans of the Vancouver Canucks can pass the time on Saturday before their team hosts Toronto with some college hoops action on the west coast in Seattle, where Washington clashes with Arizona in what could be a critical Pac-12 clash. The conference title is still in play, but wins are needed at this point to boost Tournament resumes and that will be the goal this weekend.
Arizona Washington Odds – Saturday, 3:00 PM ET
The Wildcats (18-8, 9-4 Pac-12 ahead of Thursday’s game at Washington State) had won four in a row after a 70-61 win at home over Utah, and a Bodog review of the game shows that Arizona stumbled out of the gate and were down by eight at the half. But then the Wildcats turned the screws at both ends of the court and they’re now in the hunt at the top of the conference, along with California, Oregon, the Huskies and even Colorado. March Madness betting players know all about the pedigree of the Arizona program, but history won’t get them into the Tournament and the Wildcats need a couple wins down the stretch. Their non-conference slate doesn’t look impressive, although they did take Florida to overtime in Gainesville.
The Huskies (17-8, 10-3 Pac-12 as they prepare for Thursday’s visit from Arizona State) rebounded from a stunning loss at Oregon with a 75-72 win at Oregon State, and they did it despite shooting 34.8% from the field. Players that use pay per head services know that offensive rebounding can be the difference between winning and losing, and the Huskies snatched 16 to nine for the Beavers, and they also hit eight more free throws than Oregon State. Terrence Ross put up 21 points and 13 rebounds, while C.J. Wilcox came off the bench with 17 points for the Huskies, who were walloped by 25 points in Eugene and it would have been easy for them to drop this game as well. But Washington regained their focus and now head into this extremely important contest with the Wildcats.
Washington should be the Pac-12 favorites at home, where they are 8-5 ATS, but the Wildcats are 8-2 ATS on the road as of Thursday and they’re not going to be an easy out for the Huskies, who came away with a 69-67 win in Tuscon on January 28th. The Huskies are 4-1 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five at home against the Wildcats, with three going over the posted total and this game figures to be as close as the first, when Josiah Turner had his lay-up stuffed by Tony Wroten at the end of regulation. At this time of year, backing the hot team is a good rule of thumb and Arizona has been playing very well as of late; look for them to return the favor to the Huskies and pull out an upset away from home in your sports betting book on Saturday.
