Bob Rondeau named Washington Sportscaster of the year

Longtime "Voice of the Huskies" Bob Rondeau has been named the state of Washington's Sportscaster of the Year for the ninth time, the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association announced Monday.

Rondeau, who handles the play-by-play for Husky football and men's basketball on the Washington IMG Sports Radio Network, along with a variety of other duties related to UW athletics, was honored along with Seattle Times columnist Jerry Brewer, who was named the state's Sportswriter of the Year.
