Washington guard Scott Suggs will redshirt this season after missing the opening seven games with a foot injury.
Coach Lorenzo Romar announced the move on Friday.
Suggs broke a bone in his right foot in October and underwent surgery. He had targeted Saturday's game against Duke as a possible return date.
Suggs averaged 7.4 points during his junior campaign. He was one of only two senior scholarship players on the Huskies' roster this season.

Good for him as he'll get to live the college life a bit longer and will prob get more playing time next year. But this years team sure could have also used a bit of his talent. It isn't a strong team at the moment. Hopefully the two freshman who have yet to contribute much (Kemp and Stewart) can pick it up a bit during league play.
