Alamo Bowl & Holiday Bowl

The Alamo Bowl has the first choice of Pac-12 teams following the BCS.

You'd think UW would land there. BUT

Every Pac-12 bowl eligible team remains a possible option. Cal, though, might be the most direct competition for UW after also finishing 7-5.

Washington was going to a bowl game regardless of the Apple Cup

But I'd think the trip will feel a little better now that the Huskies avoided heading into it with a 4-game losing streak.

The Holiday Bowl has the selection following the Alamo, and most speculation is that the Huskies would get picked by the Holiday committee if they were bypassed by the Alamo.

I know the Alamo is supposed to be more prestigious (more money), but I would feel comfortable falling back to the Holiday or even Sun bowl if that's how it turned out. Those are more traditional Pac12 Bowls in my opinion. But Washington probably travels better than Berkeley so the Alamo will scoop them up. Is the game in that god-awful dome in San Antonio? Yuk - I'd take San Diego any day
