The biggest mystery of all is the fact Chris Polk the 2nd leading ALL TIME Huskies tailback was not drafted this weekend.
He'd been projected as possibly as high as a second-round pick and no lower than the fourth or fifth after rushing for 4,049 yards in his UW career, the second-most in school history.
He's been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles, and will probably make their ballclub."I will just have to go out there and show them I have a lot of great football left in me," Polk said.
I guess his performance at the Senior Bowl raised some questions, clearly it was more than anyone was expecting.
WR Jermaine Kearse signed with the Seattle Seahawks. And we've learned that receiver Devin Aguilar had signed a free-agent deal with the Tennessee Titans reuniting him with Jake Locker.John Clayton today on ESPN radio in Seattle "Shoulder, Hip? I'm baffled by it. I just know he's a good football player (On Polk)"
Only two UW Huskies were drafted in 2012. DT Alameda Ta'amu by the Steelers in the fourth round, and T Senio Kelemete by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth.
Kelemete started at LT for the Dawgs but is expected to start at guard for the NFC West Cardinals.
