College Basketball Betting?
Even those who write a soccer blog will be participating in some sort of March Madness betting event or bracket, and if they were to look towards the Pac-12, there probably aren’t many spots open, which means battles at the top are getting more important ahead of the conference tournaments. California sits in first place currently in the Pac-12, but Oregon can pull even with them if they can pull out a huge win on the road.
Oregon California Odds – Thursday, 10:30 PM ET
The Ducks (18-7, 9-4 Pac-12) completed a homestand sweep of the Washington programs with a 78-69 win over Washington State on Saturday, and a BetOnline.com review of their performance would show that Oregon hit 55.3% of their field-goal attempts, and they went 11-of-20 from the three-point line. E.J. Singler notched a game-high 23 points, while Devoe Joseph and Garrett Sim had 16 points apiece for the Ducks, and any 2012 March Madness betting player knows that a team can cause some upsets with their long-distance shooting. However, the Ducks are on the road for three games against the Golden Bears, Stanford and Oregon State, and this stretch could make or break their Tournament chances.
The Golden Bears (20-6, 10-3 Pac-12) have now won three in a row after a 73-63 win at UCLA, and it was a historic win as Cal swept both Los Angeles-area teams, USC and UCLA, for the first time since the 1958-59 season. Justin Cobbs dropped 18 points, each, while Allen Crabbe was next with 14 points for the Golden Bears, who shot 51.9% from the field while holding UCLA to 39.7% in a solid road performance, and even though the Bruins are no longer a big team among players that use price per head software, it was still a great showing for Cal, who have pole position on the Pac-12 race for the regular-season title.
Cal will be the home favorites on Thursday night as they are 3-1 SU in their last four in Berkeley against the Ducks, but they’re only 1-3 ATS at home when facing Oregon. The Golden Bears are 10-4 ATS at home this season, while Oregon is 6-3 ATS on the road, so something has to give on Thursday and there is a lot at stake. The regular-season champion will likely earn a spot in the Tournament without winning their conference tourney, and the Golden Bears have already defeated the Ducks by 16 in Eugene on January 8th. Cal has protected their homecourt very well this year and while they may be a risk on the spread, the Golden Bears should be an outright pick in your college basketball betting sportsbook .
