Philadelphia 76ers center Spencer Hawes will miss an additional two weeks with a strained left Achilles injuries.

Hawes was examined by Dr. Richard Ferkel over the All-Star break, who determined that the seven-footer needs additional time to heal the injury.

The 23-year-old has missed the Sixers' last nine games with the injury.

Hawes is averaging 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season.

Philadelphia is 12-2 with Hawes in the lineup this season and 8-12 without him.
