BCS Playoff Possibilities? Commissioners Open To Change!

Could we actually see a 4-team playoff for the BCS National Championship one day?

Commissioners from the 11 FBS conferences met Tuesday to discuss possible changes for determining a national champion beginning in 2014.

The parties were said to have considered a possible playoff format. This idea of course was originally proposed in 2008 but was shot down.

The BCS is in the midst of a four-year deal with ESPN that expires in 2014. A new format would need to be in place before television negotiations open with ESPN in the fall.

Sounds like a very good chance a change will be in place in 2 seasons. Hopefully will move onto a tourney format like March Madness
