The Crimson Tide (13-1) was an overwhelming choice for the top slot in the Associated Press poll after dominating Louisiana State 22-0 on Monday night.

The Crimson Tide received 55 of 60 first-place votes after holding the Tigers to 92 yards of total offense.

LSU got one first-place vote in finishing at No. 2 while third-ranked Oklahoma State (12-1) claimed the remaining four first-place votes.

Oregon finished fourth and Arkansas would up fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were USC, Stanford, Boise State, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
