Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque detailed in his recent book that steroids is prevalent in NHL locker rooms.
He also noted that the league is taking steps against performance-enhancing drugs - but needs to take a stronger stance against human growth hormone."I have to say here that tough guys weren't the only players using steroids in the NHL," Laraque wrote in "The Story of the NHL's Unlikeliest Tough Guy."

I've reached the point where I now believe it's naive to think that doping isn't occuring in any major sport.
His point about going back and looking for drops in performaces during Olympic years is interesting. I wouldn't mind actually doing that.
