Carpenter has been the best of a bad bunch for the Cardinals in the post-season, going 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA in three starts. St. Louis' other three starters - Jaime Garcia, Edwin Jackson and Kyle Lohse - are 1-4 with a collective 6.21 ERA in their 8 appearances.

Wilson went 16-7 with a 2.94 ERA this season and has won 31 games in the past two years after being converted to a full-time starter. Thought if you watched him pitch on Thursday you'd of seen Detroit knocked him around hard, allowing six runs on eight hits in six innings.
