This move has been expected for a while now but the Seattle Sounders FC released the news today that they have acquired 23 year old Danish Midfielder Christian Sivebaek from FC Midtjylland.

It will become official once he gets his international clearance.

He has Danish national youth team experience and has plaed 80 game for Midtjylland since 2006.

Sivebaek said in the release...

"This is an exciting opportunity for me, to be joining such a club as Sounders FC. I am looking forward to playing in MLS"
"Christian is a player that we have been following for quite some time," He is a good one-versus-one dribbler who can provide consistent quality service to our strikers. He has good speed and physical presence. "He has been an up and coming player in Denmark, and we are looking forward to adding Christian to our attacking arsenal."
Sounders technical director Chris Henderson said in a team release.

The Sounders needed a good defensive minded midfielder or right back for their right side. Looks like they've got their man.
