The Sounders won the Cascadia Cup in 2011, the first year all three Northwest teams played in MLS. (Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver.

Seattle was 2-0-2, Portland 2-1-1 and Vancouver 0-3-1.

Thus the Sounders were awarded the fan-sponsored Cascadia Cup in 2011.

Starting Saturday vs. the Whitecaps, the Sounders play six Cascadia Cup games in 2012 instead of four.
