New Seahawks Coaches in 2012 Include Ex Hawks DB Marquand Manuel
Reported by the Seattle Times.
Marquand Manuel, a former safety for the Seahawks, has been hired to serve as Seattle's assistant special teams coach, one of four additions the team announced Tuesday.
Manuel is one of two full-time coaches added, the other being Keith Carter, who will serve as the quality control coach for the offense.
John Glenn, a quality control coach at Washington under Steve Sarkisian the past two years, will serve as a coaching assistant, and former first-round pick Kenechi Udeze — who played under Pete Carroll at USC — was named a coaching intern who will work with the defensive line.
Marquand Manuel wasn't a superb player at all, especially after he went on to Green Bay. I don't understand why they would hire him and not ask someone like Lawyer Milloy if they have interest.
