Beware Thy Neighbor! Week 8 NFC West Matchups + Previews

SEAHAWKS vs. LIONS (SUN OCT 28 1 PM ET)

The Seahawks had their 2-game winning streak snapped in their Monday night loss to the 49ers where they really struggled on the offensive side of the ball. Seattle is at 4-3 and they have some great wins this season, but they are only 1-3 on the road.

The Lions have been a big disappointment so far this season at 2-4 after making the playoffs last season. The Lions are also coming off a loss where they struggled on offense.

The Seahawks need to get back to playing their game, which is playing solid defense and getting RB Marshawn Lynch a lot of touches. Russell Wilson does not have to do it all, but what he does have to do is limit his mistakes. Lynch has to play well facing Detroit and their 16th ranked rushing defense.

Matt Stafford lead the Lions and their 2nd ranked passing offense and he has THE best WR in the league in Calvin Johnson. If Seattle can play good pass defense they have a great chance to win since the Lions do not have much of a rushing offense.

I think Seattle and their solid pass rush, which has 19 sacks on the season, will play well and Lynch will have a big game on the ground and the Seahawks will get back in the W column in Detroit
