This just in on the NFL trade front. It appears the Seahawks have found a dance partner for last years starting QB Tarvaris Jackson.
The Buffalo Bills have traded for him. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
The trade was first reported by Ian Rapoport on Twitter.
Even while battling through a pectoral injury in the 2011-12 NFL season, the Seahawks' Jackson was able to put up the best numbers of his career.Breaking: The #Seahawks will trade QB Tarvaris Jackson to the #Bills, two sources tell me. Finalized soon. Terms not yet available
He threw for 3,091 yards passing, and 14 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.
While certainly not Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady type numbers, he was able to do enough to keep the Seahawks competitive.
“He did a great job for us and proved everything you’d ever want to see out of a competitor on your team. We think the world of him.”“Tarvaris, all that we’ve ever seen from him is that he’s a great competitor and a perfect guy to have on your team,” Carroll said. “Because of our situation and the opportunity with the guys that we have, he deserves a chance to be playing. Buffalo came after him and I hope it’s a good thing for him.
Looks like in Buffalo Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen should be worried about their jobs right about now.
UPDATE: As of 8:40PM PT
Tarvaris Jackson, the Seahawks’ starting quarterback last season, is in the process of being traded to the Buffalo Bills, coach Pete Carroll confirmed tonight during a conference-call interview.
