Seahawks News: Russell Wilson to start vs. Chiefs in preseason game 3

Rookie 3rd round pick from Wisconsin Russell Wilson is going to get his start vs. the KC Chiefs on Friday night. He's going to get his shot to show the Seattle fan base what he can do against a #1 defense.

The news was first reported by Danny O'Neil from the Seattle Times.

Then again today by Adam Schefter.

When Seattle plays at Kansas City on Friday night, its starting quarterback will be rookie Russell Wilson.

Most will say Russell Wilson is the better QB, when compared to Matt Flynn, those fine folks aren't watching the game 3-4 times like I am.

Matt Flynn has been the better QB in practice, and he's played against the #1 defenses of the Broncos and Titans.

Russell Wilson has been playing CFL caliber defenses. There is a massive difference between 1's and 2's in the NFL.

I'm not ripping him for it. He's done great. I love the kid. Trust me.

I'm just of the opinion that Pete Carroll has not got his finger on the correct pulse.

If your not willing to give Flynn a game 3 start you may as well just start Wilson Game 1 of regular season.

Carroll has absolutely set this up for Flynn to get booed early in the season. He'll be an unpopular target.

All Pete had to do was handle this a different way. Could have avoided mutiny. He's got no one to blame but himself.

I'm all in for Flynn. Pete should be too. We need to see him in a GAME situation vs. a REAL LIFE defense on the road in hostile territory with his TOP wideouts and tight ends.

The Seahawks aren't paying Flynn 18M over 3 years to hold a clipboard.
