Seahawks practice salutes the troops (Cherokee Cavalry stops by)
We read on the Seahawks.com blog yesterday that there was an "invasion" of sorts.
While practice was going on at the VMAC suddenly AC / DC's "For those about to rock, we salute you" came on blasting over the field's loudspeaker.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>"For those about to rock. All off a sudden over a hill came Capt. James Lienaw and 82 members of his Cherokee Troop 2-1 Cavalry/4th Stryker Brigade invading the practice.
All the Seahawks players stopped to applaud the troops getting ready to leave for Afghanistan.
The soldiers were from Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.
Quote:
“It’s pretty humbling,” center Max Unger said after practice. “You kind of hear what they have going on and where they’re going and that kind of puts it in perspective.
