Seahawks Say no-go to HBO Hard Knocks

Our man Brandon made a pitch for why the Seattle Seahawks should appear on HBO's 2012 Hard Knocks a little over a week ago in his 5 Reasons the Seahawks are a perfect fit article.

Apparently the powers that be over at the VMAC see things differently.

Per a story today at ProFootballTalk the Seahawks were approached about HBO's Hard Knocks, but said no.

Seahawks GM John Schneider said the Seahawks weren’t formally offered the spot, but that when they were approached, they decided they didn’t want to do it.

We're still hearing there is just one team that is really interested. The Jacksonville Jaguars, which we all know would be more than happy to grab all the attention they can get.

The list of teams NOT wanting to appear on Hard Knocks continues to grow. The Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins have either declined or said they are not interested.

Meanwhile along the shores of Lake Washington the Seahawks officially kicked off the 2012 OTA portion of its offseason program.

The 1st unit offense and 1st unit defense finally faced one another as the team held the first of its 10 OTA practices.
