With #15 pick in 2012 NFL Draft Seattle selects Bruce Irvin
The NFL Draft was today in New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
Pete Carroll and John Schneider are in Seattle Washington at the VMAC Seahawks facility.
They traded their #12 pick to the Eagles for the #15 pick in 2012 NFL Draft, and then watched as Dontari Poe, Fletcher Cox, and Michael Floyd, and Michael Brockers all came off the board.
Then at #15 the Seattle Seahawks selected West Virginia LB Bruce Irvin.
Per John Gruden.
He's not a Run-defender. He's the guy who will come in as a speed rusher, and he's got RARE speed to rush.
He's going to be a pass rushing specialist ONLY. When you watch West Virginia at closing time, IRvin is the closing guy.
Per Mel Kiper
Seattle needed a Defensive end. But I'm not sure about this one. Although with what I just found out I'm a little happier.
This pick is "SHOCKING". Production dropped as a senior. Irvin thought he'd be a 2nd round pick. He didn't expect to be a 1st round pick. The fact that he's a first round pick is quite honestly mind-boggling."
Per a league source, at least 7 teams had Irvin rated as one of the top 15 players available in the draft. #Seahawks

Who cares what blowhards like Kiper says
Look at the draft results that JS and PC have delivered. Trust in their homework, I do
