NFL Free Agency grades from ESPN

In the last few days the ESPN Insider NFL 2012 Free agency grades have come out for the NFC West teams.

Without getting into too much trouble I'll post snippets from the article here. Please don't be mad at me ESPN. I do pay you for your insider service!

    Seattle Seahawks

    Grade: A

Analysis: I am not the biggest Flynn believer, he is a clear improvement at the most important position on the field.

Keeping Lynch in the fold should ensure that Flynn's transition to his new team is smoother.

Bringing back Bryant, the massive run-stuffer, was huge for this young defense.

There are some big names on Seattle's key-losses list, but in reality, this group's value doesn't compare to its name recognition.

Scouts INC Insider Matt Williamson who is on twitter - @WilliamsonNFL says...

The Seahawks are on the rise.

Key additions: QB Matt Flynn, DT Red Bryant (re-sign), RB Marshawn Lynch (re-sign), DT Jason Jones, T Frank Omiyale, RB Michael Robinson (re-sign)

Key losses: TE John Carlson, G Robert Gallery, CB Marcus Trufant, QB Charlie Whitehurst, DT Anthony Hargrove

As for the rest of the NFC WEST

St. Louis Rams also get an A.

We might not see the results of this offseason during the 2012 season, but St. Louis is set up extremely well for the long term because of what it has done during this period.

The Arizona Cardinals get a D.

It would be surprising if Arizona wasn't proactive in drafting offensive linemen this draft.

The San Francisco 49ers get an A.

New perimeter speed should open up room for the rest of San Francisco's offense while allowing Jim Harbaugh to utilize more multiple-receiver sets

I agree with the high grade. The Seahawks had a lot of holes to fill during the off-season, and they appear to have aggressively gone after those spots pretty quickly. As a fair-weather fan stranded North of the 49th where 3 down football is king (Don't get me started) this off-season was a step in the right direction.
