Gil Brandt from the NFL Network today reported that representatives from 23 teams were on hand to watch QB prospect Brock Osweiler work out at Arizona State today.

Included were Pete Carroll, John Schneider and OC Darrell Bevell.

"I thought it was a good day," Osweiler said. "We had a lot of fun, the wide receivers did a tremendous job of running really good routes, they were all fast today and it was a lot of fun."
Osweiler weighed in at 238 pounds on Friday; his height was not measured, but at the NFL Scouting Combine he measured 6-foot-6 7/8.

The scripted throwing session was run by Noel Mazzone.

Gil went on to say...

Based on Friday’s workout, I think Osweiler vaulted himself into the first round on draft day. He will likely work out for a number of teams; there is a lot of excitement with him.

Also this week the Seahawks brass were watching Ryan Tannehill's workout at Texas A&M.

Though as our boy Brandon said in his piece earlier today that is probably just a smokescreen.

Also at the workouts for both was Jeff Ireland of the Dolphins reported the Palm Beach Post. Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman was Tannehill’s head coach at Texas A&M.

According to most Osweiler is nowhere near as well-regarded a prospect as Tannehill, but he could be an option for many teams depending on where they slot him in on their April draft boards.

The next phase for Osweiler will include private workouts for several NFL franchises. Already booked teams are Miami, Buffalo, Kansas City and Denver.
