Seattle Seahawks sign former Chicago Bears lineman Frank Omiyale
First reported by KJR Radio's Curtis Crabtree the Seattle Seahawks today announced they have agreed to terms with free agent offensive lineman Frank Omiyale formerly of the Chicago Bears.
He was drafted by the Falcons in the 5th round of the 2005 NFL draft from Tennessee Tech. He's a 6'4" 315lb lineman.
He appeared in 1 game over 2 seasons with the Falcons before he was waived and claimed by the Carolina Panthers.
Omiyale started one of 10 games over two seasons with the Panthers.
Signed to a four-year, $12.5 million contract by the Bears on February 28, 2009.
He started 28 of 32 games over 2009 and the 2010 seasons.
He has experience at left tackle. According to our stats he's primarily a GUARD.
