Seattle lineman and former Gamecock Jarriel King accused of sexual assault
Crazy week for the Seahawks. They land Jason Jones and Matt Flynn via Free Agency, and now this.
Word coming out of Seattle Seahawks camp today is that FORMER backup offensive lineman Jarriel King was arrested last month for "allegedly sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman in Charleston, South Carolina.
Earlier today the Seattle Seahawks announced that they have released King, reports Curtis Crabtree of KJR Radio in Seattle.
ProFootballTalk.com first reported this news, and now the Tacoma News Tribune's Eric Williams confirmed the report.
King, who played college football at the University of South Carolina, then was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent, started one game for the Seahawks last season.
He played for the Gamecocks back in 2010.

According to the report, the victim was drinking and smoking marijuana with King and Arthur Lee Denson-Holmes in King's apartment. After the three went to a nightclub, they returned to the apartment where they continued to drink and smoke. The woman felt dizzy and light headed and laid down on a bed, where the two men allegedly disrobed the victim and sexually assaulted her despite her telling them to stop. King and Denson-Holmes were arrested and posted $25,000 bond.
