Matt Flynn Update - John Clayton on ESPN 710 in Seattle

Here's the basics from the Brock Huard and John Clayton conversation this AM on 710ESPN in Seattle.

It looks like John Schneider and Pete Carroll have let Matt Flynn skip town without signing him to the dotted line. ONLY they know the real reasons.

    Here's the quotes.

John Clayton @ClaytonESPN says Flynn is on his way 2 Miami and will do everything possible to get the deal done.

Seahawks couldn't sign him says Seahawks "Basically elected to go in a different direction. They liked him but didn't LOVE him"
"Seattle, Cleveland, Miami all in same boat. They have QB's that won't take them very far. "
"12th pick isn't a good spot as far as the QB carousel is going. At some point they need to step up, change draft order"
"Next QB move will define how Pete Carroll and John Schneider will be judged as a front office.

Tarvaris Jackson will only get Seattle to a certain point. 7-9 wins"
Where do the Seahawks go from here the next few days of Free Agency?

    PER Clayton.

"Have to monitor the David Hawthorne situation, find another guard because of losing Robert Gallery, hit the DE market, Seahawks will still be buyers, Shiancoe would upgrade #2 TE on the team, so that would be a good move."
So what do you think now Seattle?

The 12th pick in the draft is not the place to draft a QB according to the draft rankings. I'm not sure Tannenhill is worth moving up for to get in the top 8 picks.

Glad I'm not working at the VMAC today.
