Well that was short lived. Those who thought the Seahawks would feature two tight ends in 2012 now see that's not going to happen.
Today its being reported the Vikings reached agreement with former Seattle Seahawks tight end John Carslon on a five-year, $25 million deal.
Carlson visited Kansas City, then he headed to Minnesota and had a number of teams interested.
Great work for John and his agent considering he's done bumpkis the last two seasons in Seattle. (For the most part)
He was injured in 2011 pre-season, and didn't play a down in 2011/12. Good move by the Seahawks front office bringing in Zach Miller from the Oakland Raiders in 2011 free agency wasn't it?
Seattle had hoped to retain Carlson, but the extent of the financial commitment the Seahawks would make was always a question.
Cameron Morrah and Anthony McCoy are the primary backups behind Miller now in Seattle.
